Kinesiology Techniques Kinesiology, also called muscle testing, can be done either alone or with a partner. The accuracy of the technique can be affected by the sensitivity of the individual, the involvement of their ego and the skill and technique of the person performing the kinesiology. My experience with learning kinesiology was in formal settings, at the University of Utah, with trained chiropractors and other skilled professionals. I have found it has taken me years to refine my skills in applying the technique with myself and to develop a confidence in applying it with others. Therefore I suggest the use of these techniques with the caution that depending on each individual, accuracy and consistency may not be achieved immediately. It is useful to work with a skilled professional or someone with experience in using kinesiology. It may also be helpful to learn more about kinesiology from sources such as the book Power vs Force by David Hawkins (see www.veritaspub.com) or a general kinesiology site such as www.awarenesscouncil.com. Partner Technique: Have someone test your muscle strength with a "true/false" statement such as "My name is ___________" Hold out your dominant arm to the side of your body and have them press down to determine your muscle resistance. Start with a true statement. Then check your resistance with a false statement. Go on to check something that you are seeking the answer to, such as "it is in my best interest to ____________________". You can visualize the question or even hold a tangible item, such as words written on a paper or a bottle of vitamins. Determine if your resistance is strong (meaning the statement is true) or weak (meaning the statement is false). Individual Technique: Stand facing North (due to the magnetism factor) and allow your body to relax. Make a true statement and allow your body to move in the aligned direction. Your upper body should move gently forward with a true statement. Make a false statement and allow your body to move. Your upper body should move backward. Check something you are seeking the answer to by either visualizing the question or holding something to your solar plexus (at the bottom of your rib cage). Determine if you move forward or backward, indicating the truth of the statement. Ego-less Technique: Sometimes a person's mind interferes with the sensitive energetic field of kinesiology. For example, they may want something to be true enough to override the energy of truth or they may question the process of kinesiology to the extent that their doubt complicates the process. In this case, I have found the technique that works best is to make the statement quietly in my own mind while testing someone. By leaving the "ego" or mind out of the equation by not stating the question to them out loud I have found the readings to be accurate and aligned with truth.
